This drawing of Anubis was originally the background for a print I did of Death from the "Sandman" comic. But I also had to make a completed shot of him by himself, just because. Anubis (there are variations on how his name is rendered from Egyptian but I prefer 'Anupu') has always been my favorite member of the Egyptian pantheon.

Yes he does! Oh, and check it out, the Feast of Anupu (if you reckon the date from July 18 as the New Year) is on our Fourth of July. Give the family dog an extra treat and have a steak for Anupu.. :D
